The Belief that’s Ruining Your Marriage: My spouse is ultimately looking to hurt, oppress, and take advantage of me.

How can a marriage last if it’s a power struggle?
If you’re a husband, you hear that women are all gold digging, hypergamic, narcissist who will marry you, get bored, and talk more than half your stuff and the kids.
If you’re a wife, society other women on TikTik tell you that men are all oppressive, patriarchal, controllers who want you to submit and shut up.
Let’s not be silly. These types of marriages have happened. There are men and women who do not qualify for a relationship because they are abusive. Fair enough.
But, if you’re a man or woman who holds these beliefs to only be true, then you’re always going to be miserable in your marriage.
As a wife, if you believe that all men are evil, and your husband is evil, then why should have your husband married you? Are you just marrying him so you can divorce with a paycheck? Why would he trust you to have his son and not hate the son? Why would he trust you to have his daughter and not teach his daughter to hate him?
As a husband, if you believe that all women are evil, then why should your wife have married you? Why would she trust you with her life and future if she knows you will always disrespect her due to your perception of her frigid nature?
This post-modern marriage sounds miserable.
If you have any of these beliefs, they will keep your marriage destroyed, you won’t know how to resolve conflicts, you will hate being around each other and sex will not exist.
If you live in the belief that marriage is about power, and are a slave to the definition of Post-Modern Love and not living the Enlightenment definition of Love, your marriage is done.

Now we need the opposite beliefs, without being naïve to the evils of others, to fix your marriage.
Belief That’ll Save Your Marriage: My spouse is ultimately looking to heal, free and create the most ideal marriage we can think of together. This will Save Your Marriage.
